Beeds Lake is a 99-acre lake located in Franklin County, Iowa, United States. It is situated within Beeds Lake State Park, which covers 312 acres and offers a variety of recreational activities including camping, hiking, fishing, boating, and swimming. The lake was formed by damming the Iowa River and was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Beeds Lake is stocked with a variety of fish including bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. In the winter, the lake is popular for ice fishing. The park also features picnic areas, playgrounds, and a beach for swimming.
